Youth Camp is one of the most impactful events at NORTHIRON Youth. Students will not only enjoy an unforgettable week of fun but will also experience powerful spiritual growth as they draw closer to God. Below is all the information you need to know to send your Middle/Highschool student to Youth Camp.
Date: Week 4 on July 13th-17th
Grade: 6th-12th
Cost: $302
GHR ID Code: ISHPNC
Early Bird Deadline: June 13th (Registration will go up $30 after deadline)
Due to Camp attendance growing rapidly every summer, we have limited spots. Please sign up ASAP to ensure your spot. The cost is due in full this year. Your student’s spot is not secured until you have paid in full.
All registrations and payments are done at the campwise website linked at the bottom of the page.
When registering your student, it will ask for a “GHR” code. Make sure to enter this code when registering. ISHPNC
You will also be asked to enter your current church, please select Ishpeming – NORTHIRON Church even if you don’t currently attend that campus.
Make sure you do both of these when registering your student. This will assure your student will be associated with NORTHIRON Youth and confirm they are rooming and attending with our church.
All Campuses
Drop students off at your attending NORTHIRON Campus at 5:00 AM on Monday July 13th. Pick up on Friday July 17th at 6:00 – 7:00 PM.
Please arrive ON TIME. We are time sensitive since the camp starts so early. If late, you will be responsible for driving your student to Spencer Lake in Waupaca, WI. We will not be stopping for breakfast. The bus will stop once for a bathroom break at a gas station. Students will not be allowed to buy any snacks once we stop. Spencer Lake will feed us when we arrive.
Please use a sharpie and masking tape when labeling all your student’s luggage and possessions; add your student’s full name along with NORTHIRON Church.
Medications should be noted to the leader, but all medication has to be turned into the Camp Nurse BY THE STUDENT. Students are to keep their own rescue inhalers while at camp.
LIST:
Everyone wants to know who their cabin roommates are going to be, so we want to make a couple of things clear. All students that attend with NORTHRION Youth will be rooming with other students from NORTHIRON Youth. All cabin assignments are done by Spencer Lake administration, not by NORTHIRON Church. If your student has a friend they want to room with, please write their name on the registration form! The camp staff does their very best to accommodate campers and their friends.
NORTHIRON Church is implementing a new phone / electronic policy. Phones and electronics are NOT allowed during the week. Your student can bring their phone and electronics for the bus ride to and from camp. Cabin Leaders will then collect their electronics once we arrive at camp. They will be returned to them for the ride home on Friday. We will not charge electronics while storing them throughout the week, so please remember to use portable chargers if needed.
Youth Camp offers students the opportunity to disconnect from distractions by being in a new environment, allowing them to grow in their relationship with God. We have found phones and electronics hold students back and cause more distractions. One of the many benefits of Youth Camp is a phone and social media detox.
Please help our staff and cabin leaders by preparing your student beforehand.
NORTHIRON Church offers a limited amount of partial scholarships. Please note that all scholarships are meant to assist in crisis, emergency and financial difficulties. It is a privilege to receive a scholarship—not all requests will be granted. Scholarships are intended to help cover part of the cost of registration only. (Scholarships will not cover any extra fees such as late fees, t-shirts, etc.) Deadline for requests is before June 13th.
Scholarship inquirers can contact Pastor Noah via email: noah.broberg@northiron.church
You can contact and call the camp office during the week for emergencies only. This week is for your students to not only have fun, but to grow in their relationship with Jesus without any distractions.
All medications MUST BE in the original labeled pill bottle/container. Place all medications in a large zip-lock bag with your student’s name on the outside.
Students will be in charge of their own money. When we arrive at camp, they have the option to store their money in the camp bank. Parents also have the option to deposit spending money for their student in the camp bank when they register and refill their account with funds during the week.
